Maintenance Technician

Hours: Monday to Friday (Rotating Shifts)

• Week 1: 08:00 - 16:30
• Week 2: 15:00 - 23:30
  The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join a busy, fast-paced industrial site. This role will play a key part in ensuring the reliability and performance of plant machinery, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across operations.
You will work closely with production and maintenance teams to diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and support preventative maintenance activities across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and fault finding across plant equipment
• Diagnose breakdowns and respond quickly to minimise downtime
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
• Conduct inspections and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth plant operation
• Participate in on-call rota and respond within 1 hour when required

About You

• Minimum 3 years'' experience in an industrial or heavy industrial environment
• Strong mechanical background (fitting, welding, fabrication, repairs, fault finding)
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Proven problem-solving and fault-finding ability
• Experience with PPM systems and maintenance planning
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
• Flexible and reliable with a proactive approach
