Maintenance Technician

• Location: Diss, Norfolk.
• Salary: Up to -50,000 + Benefits
• Hours: 39 hours per week, fully on-site.
• Holiday: 23 Days + Bank Holidays

A well established engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the smooth operation of its production facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and proactive engineer who enjoys a varied role involving equipment maintenance, site improvements, fault diagnosis and facilities support. You''ll play a key role in ensuring operational reliability while helping maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned maintenance activities across production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Support building maintenance and site improvement projects.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and address identified issues.
• Coordinate with external contractors when required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and facility related issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Practical, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving ability.

Desirable:

• FLT Licence
• IPAF or PASMA
• Working at Height certification
• First Aid qualification
• LOTO, COSHH or related safety training
