Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician / Handyperson An established residential care home is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician / Handyperson to join its friendly and caring team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of general maintenance tasks, helping to ensure the care home is safe, well maintained and comfortable for residents, visitors and staff. Key Responsibilities Carry out general maintenance, repairs and basic property upkeep. Identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly. Assist with routine inspections and preventative maintenance. Support the upkeep of communal areas, bedrooms, facilities and external areas. Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and to a high standard. Report any significant defects or issues that require specialist attention. Work closely with the wider care home team to maintain a safe and pleasant environment. About You The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in a maintenance, handyperson or similar role. Good practical and problem-solving skills. A broad range of general maintenance abilities. A reliable, flexible and proactive approach to work. Good communication and teamwork skills. A strong commitment to health, safety and quality. The ability to work respectfully in a care environment.
