Due to continued expansion, our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join their maintenance team on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you’ll play a key role in maintaining production efficiency, driving continuous improvement, and supporting the ongoing development of site operations.
The RoleAs a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of factory equipment across electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you’ll help minimise downtime, improve machine reliability, and support continuous improvement projects across the site.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshooting and repairing factory equipment across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic systems
- Identifying root causes of faults and implementing long-term solutions
- Ensuring production downtime is minimised and machinery is returned to service quickly
- Recording breakdowns and maintenance activities within the Pemac CMMS system
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance in line with schedules
- Supporting machine installations, upgrades, and improvement projects
- Maintaining and managing spare parts systems effectively
- Reading and working from layouts, blueprints, drawings, and manuals
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Working closely with the Maintenance Manager to improve performance and reduce downtime
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with company standards
- Supporting apprentices and trainees with development and guidance
- Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship (or equivalent qualification)
- Minimum 4 years’ experience within a Maintenance Technician role, ideally in manufacturing
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience across both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Highly motivated with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and maintenance excellence
- Starting salary of £50,930.81 per annum
- Full-time, permanent position
- Continental 12-hour shift pattern:
- 4 Days On
- 4 Days Off
- 4 Nights On
- 4 Days Off
