Job Title: Mobile Multi-Skilled Technician

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Multi-Skilled Technician to join the team and cover the regional patch which includes Cardiff, Port Talbot and Bristol offices.

Our Multi-Skilled Engineers are key members of the on-site Facilities Management team, providing technical support to ensure our clients'' buildings are safe, compliant, and operating effectively. Utilising several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.

Role Summary:

As a CBRE Multi-Skilled Engineer you will utilise your advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment and grounds. Working under limited supervision, monitors building system operations and performance.

To provide operational coverage on a flexible basis between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 (40 hours per week)

This role forms part of the local support model to enhance and improve the overall customer experience, drive consistency and quality of day-to-day services and ensure each area is operationally ready. This dedicated site specific or regional visiting role will demonstrate proactive maintenance and repair to always ensure the upkeep of the facilities.

To work collaboratively with the local dedicated engineer under the management and guidance of the Regional Engineering Manager South.

Establishing great relationships with all and working with the office teams to deliver a brilliant workplace. By doing so, this role will make a real contribution to ensuring the Client is a fantastic working environment.

  • Facilitate the delivery of all workplace related maintenance services within your area whilst ensuring customer requirements are met and their needs are anticipated at all times, to be proactive in delivery.
  • Scheduled weekly walk round of offices and the completion of basic planned maintenance activities including tap temperature checks, emergency lighting tests and other basic planned maintenance tasks as specified.
  • Pro-active approach to inspecting the site on a daily basis, completing first fixes and raising jobs for any further work outside the competency of the role.
  • Tracking all planned maintenance and reactive tasks through the helpdesk.
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed within the agreed service level agreements and H&S guidelines.
  • Keeping all site folders including logbooks up to date.
  • Install posters, signage and boards as requested by Internal Communications.
  • General duties incorporating porterage, escorting contractors, site cleanliness, tidiness, and proactive approach to facilities service provision.
  • A flexible approach to supporting the Workplace services team in accordance with the Company and Client requirements that may prevail from time to time.
  • Engage with the Workplace Services team to ensure consistent messaging and communications to sites. Any identified improvements are resolved quickly and lessons learnt adopted.
  • Full responsibility for regularly updating the Client''s Workplace Services colleagues, face to face, on progress of tasks being carried out which have been reported by them and seeking their comments and feedback as and when appropriate. Proactive ''visual maintenance'' of communal floor areas, including hubs, staircases, coffee points and copy areas, engaging with the relevant members of the Facilities team as appropriate
  • Take full ownership of all aspects of meeting room maintenance, including fabric, to offer the best possible environment for occupant and client meetings.
  • Report issues through the Helpdesk as and when they occur, ensuring that all service requests reported are monitored and completed satisfactorily within your area and within the agreed SLAs.
  • To work in a consultative manner offering support and guidance on areas of practical Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental.
  • Adhere to Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental policies and procedures on site and to the Facilities Service Providers policies and procedures.
  • Complete Fire Alarm weekly checks as required
  • Adhere to any reasonable management requests
  • Support the successful delivery of an agile workplace.
  • Demonstrate appreciation of working practice etiquette in prestigious office environments.


Experience Required:

  • Experience working in a Facilities Management/Maintenance Engineering role.
  • Experience with Reactive and PPM (Planned Maintenance)
  • A Degree/Qualification in either a Trade, Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
  • Must demonstrate a strong sense of customer focus and commitment to continuous improvement.
