Maintenance Supervisor (Interim)

Interim Maintenance Engineering Supervisor 3-Month Contract £400 per day Outside IR35 We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineering Supervisor to join a busy heavy manufacturing operation on an initial 3-month interim contract. This is a hands-on, on-the-tools supervisory position. You will lead the maintenance team while remaining actively involved in fault finding, repairs, preventative maintenance and day-to-day engineering activities across the site. The Role Working within a demanding heavy manufacturing environment, you will supervise the maintenance team and play a key role in keeping plant and machinery operating safely and efficiently. You will be expected to be comfortable getting hands-on with the tools and leading by example. Key responsibilities include: Supervising and supporting a team of maintenance engineers/technicians. Carrying out hands-on electrical and/or mechanical maintenance. Diagnosing and rectifying equipment faults and breakdowns. Coordinating planned, preventative and reactive maintenance. Prioritising engineering work to minimise production downtime. Working closely with Production to maintain plant availability. Providing technical support and guidance to the maintenance team. Ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely and to a high standard. Supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
