Our client is a globally recognised manufacturing organisation with a major, high-performing production facility in South Wales. As part of their continued investment in operational excellence, they are looking to appoint an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to drive asset performance, engineering standards and continuous improvement across a complex, process-driven environment.

This is a pivotal leadership role, offering the opportunity to develop and inspire a skilled maintenance team, enhance site reliability and support significant capital investment projects. Working closely with operations, engineering and site leadership teams, you will play a key role in improving equipment performance, optimising maintenance strategies and ensuring the highest standards of safety, environmental performance and asset integrity are maintained. Ideal for a proactive engineering professional with a strong background in maintenance leadership, reliability improvement and contractor management, this position offers the chance to make a visible impact at a well-invested, industry-leading facility.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supports the SHE department to ensure the highest levels of Safety, Health and Environment performance at all times for all Maintenance and Construction activities on site.
• Leads and develops a High-Performance team of highly skilled Maintenance Technicians and Contractors ensuring capabilities exist to drive improvements in reliability, precision maintenance and construction.
• Supports the Capital plan to deliver projects, to sustain and enhance the condition and performance of the Site.
• Working collaboratively with all departments to continuously improve Reliability / OEE performance through Root Cause Failure Analysis, FMEA / RCM studies, PM / PdM program optimization to improve MTBF and MTTR.
• Working collaboratively with the Maintenance Planner, for Routine Maintenance and Major Turnaround Activities balancing the needs of Operations, and Engineering departments.
• Supports Continuous Improvement efforts in Maintenance and Contractor work execution, Asset condition, including maintenance and shutdown costs.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a Maintenance & Reliability role within manufacturing environment.
• Detailed practical knowledge of Maintenance & Reliability tools and systems including FMEA, RCM, Conditioning Monitoring, CMMS.
• Detailed practical knowledge of inspection, overhaul and repair of rotating and static equipment in a Hazardous Process Industry.
• Knowledgeable about all types of Welding, Non-Destructive Testing, Instrument & Electrical testing and calibration.
• Knowledge of SHE regulations for Pressure Systems, PUWER, LOLER, DSEAR, COSHH, Confined Space, Risk Assessment, Safe work permits
• Knowledgeable of Process Safety systems.
