Maintenance Planner - British Airways (Heathrow)Location: Heathrow AirportPay: 25- 29 per hourContract Type: 12 Month contract with renew potential About the RoleBritish Airways is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to join our team at Heathrow. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient planning of aircraft maintenance activities, both line and base, with a strong focus on operational excellence and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Forecasting: Continuously review and optimise the maintenance forecast for cost and time efficiency.Resource Planning: Ensure all required spares and resources are identified and available ahead of scheduled maintenance.Work Package Creation: Use BA systems to generate detailed work packages and work orders for line and base maintenance inputs.MRO Coordination: Issue work packages to Part 145 Maintenance Repair Organisations (MROs) with clear instructions and specific requirements.Certification and Reporting: Verify that all paperwork from MROs is correctly certified and reported back in AMOS.Record Updates: Update aircraft computer records, logbooks, and associated tracking sheets using AMOS.Archiving: Prepare and send completed work packages for archiving and assist with archiving duties.Audit and Compliance: Perform record audits of subcontracted organisations in line with procedures.Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process and system improvements and foster collaborative team ..... full job details .....
