The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in maintenance tasks. Responsibilities General repairs and maintenance: performing routine maintenance tasks including fixing broken fixtures, repairing appliances, handling minor plumbing and electrical work Checking of water temperatures of sinks, showers and baths Fitting shelves, hanging pictures and installing window locks Decorating bedrooms/shared areas/corridors such as painting/wallpapering etc Completing various fire and health and safety checks throughout the home Purchase and collection of consumables and the control of the maintenance stock Ensuring that all tools and equipment used are stored in a safe place for the protection and safety of residents and staff & ensure that the storage of all cleaning and dangerous materials conform to the Home’s COSHH policy Maintaining gardens and general upkeep of the building Liaising with trade and contractors working in the home Checking quotes and invoices Report to the Home Manager if a particular job falls outside the Training/...
