Maintenance Person Elderly Care HomeLocation: Ilford, London Salary: £16.00 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 4:00pm or 9:00am 5:00pm Contract: Full-timeAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and reliable Maintenance Person to join the maintenance team at a large, well-established elderly care home in Ilford, London.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong work ethic and understands the importance of maintaining a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for elderly residents.You will work as part of an established Maintenance Team, helping to ensure the building, facilities, equipment and grounds are maintained to a high standard.Key Responsibilities Carry out general maintenance and repairs throughout the care home. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure issues are dealt with efficiently. Undertake basic plumbing, carpentry, decorating and general building maintenance. Carry out routine checks and preventative maintenance. Identify and report any health and safety concerns. Assist with maintaining communal areas, residents'' rooms and other areas of the home. Work alongside the existing Maintenance Team to ensure the care home is maintained to a high standard. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and report any issues requiring specialist attention. Follow all relevant health and safety procedures and care home policies.
