Maintenance Operative

We are currently recruiting for a temporary Maintenance operative for our client in Whitstable. About the RoleWe are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Operative with painting and decorating experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks across residential, commercial, or public sector properties, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard.This is a varied role that requires a hands-on individual with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out painting and decorating works, including preparation, filling, sanding, painting, and finishing.Undertake general maintenance and repair tasks such as basic plumbing, carpentry, patch plastering, and minor building works.Complete planned and reactive maintenance jobs in a timely manner.Inspect properties and identify maintenance issues.Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations.Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.RequirementsPrevious experience in a maintenance operative, handyman, or multi-skilled trade role.Proven painting and decorating experience.Basic knowledge of general building maintenance, including minor repairs across multiple trades.Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. ..... full job details .....
