Based in Leicester, this full-time Maintenance Operative post with Pertemps Leicester Industrial runs Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, with a one-hour lunch break that includes thirty minutes paid. About the RoleWe are currently looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Operative to join our team in Leicester.
We’re looking for someone with previous maintenance experience who is confident carrying out general repairs, upkeep, and maintenance tasks across a range of areas.
A background in a particular trade is not essential — we are open to candidates with experience in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, decorating, building maintenance, or other relevant trades. Multi-skilled experience would be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs
- Respond to day-to-day maintenance requirements
- Identify and report any defects or issues
- Complete basic repairs across various trades
- Assist with plumbing, carpentry, decorating and other maintenance tasks
- Ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Follow relevant health & safety and compliance procedures
- Keep maintenance areas clean, safe and organised
- Work as part of a team while also being able to work independently

- Has previous maintenance experience
- Is practical, hands-on and able to use common tools
- Has experience in one or more trades
- Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
