Maintenance Operative - Student AccommodationLocation: Cardiff City CentreSalary: £15.00 per hourHours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pmDuration: Minimum 4 weeksStart Date: ASAPPertemps are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to work within student accommodation based in Cardiff City Centre on a temporary assignment for a minimum of 4 weeks.This is a hands-on role suited to someone with good practical skills who is confident carrying out general maintenance, repairs and upkeep across the accommodation.Key responsibilities:Carrying out checks of vacant student rooms and identifying any maintenance issuesPainting and touching up rooms where requiredCompleting general repairs and fixing damaged or broken itemsResponding to leaks and other maintenance issuesHelping with the movement of bins and general site dutiesCarrying out basic maintenance and repairs across communal areasPreparing rooms and accommodation areas to a high standardReporting any issues that require specialist attentionSupporting the wider accommodation team with general duties as requiredThe ideal candidate will have:Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, handyman or similar practical roleGood general DIY and repair skillsPainting and decorating experience would be advantageousA practical, can-do attitudeGood attention to detailThe ability to work independently and manage a varied workloadGood communication skills and a professional approach Working for PERTEMPS, you will benefit ..... full job details .....
