Maintenance Operative

About the roleTo provide a comprehensive maintenance and site support service, ensuring the safe, effective and efficient operation of facilities, equipment and workplace services. The role includes general maintenance duties, logistics support, furniture installation, event support, and assistance with basic mechanical, electrical and plumbing tasks under appropriate supervision. Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, sort and distribute incoming mail, parcels and deliveries across site.Collect, move and install office furniture, including the assembly of flat-pack furniture.Carry out basic plumbing maintenance tasks under supervision and in accordance with site procedures.Carry out basic electrical maintenance tasks under supervision and within competence levels.Support the Facilities and Maintenance team with day-to-day site activities as required.Operate site vehicles and equipment, including forklift trucks (training provided where required).Set up and dismantle rooms, furniture and equipment for meetings, events and site activities.Dismantle, relocate, assemble, install and maintain machinery, equipment and workplace infrastructure in accordance with specifications, drawings and instructions.Use hand tools, power tools and lifting equipment safely and effectively.Assist with moving machinery and equipment using hoists, trolleys, rollers and other approved handling equipment.Carry out routine inspections, preventative maintenance activities and basic repairs.Replace worn or ..... full job details .....
