Maintenance Operative

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Operative with a passion for making a difference to others. You''ll be working full time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) at Cygnet Hospital Bury Hudson, helping provide a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care Cygnet Bury Hudson provides a wide range of secure mental health services for men including individuals with a diagnosis of personality disorder. Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways down to the Elton Reservoir. Your Day-to-Day • Provide a comprehensive maintenance and repair service• Carry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting and general building work• Maintain equipment, services and vehicles• Comply with safe working practices and report faulty equipment and potential hazards• Travel to other sites and on occasions be on call to carry out emergency repairs outside of normal working hours• Check the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices and fire emergency lights.
