Are you a practical, hands-on Maintenance Operative looking for a role where your work has a real impact on people''s lives?

Catch 22 are working with a homeless charity in London and are looking for 2 temporary reliable Maintenance Operatives to support a portfolio of residential accommodation services, ensuring properties remain safe, functional and welcoming for residents.

As a Maintenance Operative, you''ll be responsible for maintaining accommodation to a high standard, carrying out responsive repairs and planned maintenance works, while ensuring all health and safety requirements are met.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out minor repairs, maintenance and redecoration works across multiple properties.
• Preparing void rooms and accommodation ready for new residents.
• Conducting property inspections and identifying maintenance requirements.
• Working closely with service teams, contractors and colleagues to coordinate repairs.
• Ensuring accommodation remains safe, compliant and well-presented.
• Completing maintenance records, job updates and inspection reports accurately.
• Purchasing and managing materials within agreed budgets.
• Supporting the delivery of planned improvement works across the housing portfolio.

We''re looking for someone who is proactive, organised and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.

You''ll ideally have:

• Experience carrying out general property maintenance and repair works.
• An Enhanced DBS Check
• Knowledge of health and safety practices, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• The ability to work independently across a variety of sites.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
• Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
• Basic IT skills to update records and report completed works.
