Maintenance Operative - 6-Month FTC
Location: London (with UK-wide travel)

Are you a proactive and practical individual with a knack for maintenance and problem-solving? Our client, a reputable business is hiring a Maintenance Operative for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining and supporting public infrastructure across the UK.

What you will be doing:
* Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance
* Diagnosing faults, repairing units, and ensuring all equipment is safe, operational, and well-maintained.
* Supporting relocations of units and assisting with stock handling and operational tasks.
* Travelling across the UK, including overnight stays (expenses covered), to different locations to complete maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.
* Preparing tools, equipment, and products at the warehouse for each job, and conducting risk assessments on-site to ensure safety for all.

What you will bring:
* Practical experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Strong organisational skills to review upcoming jobs and communicate effectively with the Maintenance Manager.
* A proactive approach to safety, including conducting risk assessments before starting work.
* Valid driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide, including overnight stays.
* Good physical fitness and attention to detail to carry out repairs and installations to a high standard.
