Maintenance Officer - Hackney Full Time Monday to Friday, 37.5 Hours per Week £29,873 - £32,855 + Overtime Opportunities 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays The Opportunity We are recruiting for a Premises Officer to join a busy and well-maintained educational environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical maintenance experience who takes pride in keeping buildings safe, compliant and operating efficiently. Working as part of a supportive facilities team, you will play a key role in ensuring the site remains secure, functional and welcoming for staff, students and visitors. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site. Undertake general building repairs including basic joinery, plumbing, electrical and decorating works. Assist with the operation and maintenance of building services systems including HVAC, heating, pumps, BMS and access control systems. Support statutory compliance activities including fire alarm testing, legionella monitoring and routine safety inspections. Receive and manage deliveries across the site. Set up rooms and furniture for meetings, examinations and events. Liaise with external contractors and support works on site. Respond promptly to maintenance requests through the facilities helpdesk system. Act as a key holder and support site security, including alarm activations where required.
