Apple Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for a Maintenance Officer based in Coleraine. This is an excellent opportunity for a building maintenance professional to join a busy regional maintenance team, ensuring repairs to housing properties are delivered to the required cost, quality and time standards. Key Responsibilities Carry out inspections of properties to authorise contractors to undertake maintenance work. Inspect completed works to ensure they meet required standards and authorise payment where appropriate. Advise tenants on maintenance policies, responsibilities and the progress of works being carried out to their homes. Identify deficiencies in the delivery of maintenance services and bring these to the attention of contractors so remedial action can be taken. Liaise with colleagues involved in housing allocations to ensure vacant properties receive the necessary maintenance work to facilitate prompt re-letting. Maintain accurate records and complete inspection documentation in line with organisational procedures. Work to agreed inspection timetables and service standards.
