Maintenance Mechanical Technician

We are seeking an experienced MandE Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to join our facilities team delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a busy university campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and servicing a variety of building services plant and equipment, ensuring statutory compliance, operational reliability, and a safe environment for staff, students and visitors. This role requires a qualified mechanical engineer with extensive experience in water hygiene management, plumbing systems, HVAC plant, pumps, and pressurisation equipment. The position will involve both hands-on maintenance activities and supporting compliance requirements relating to water systems. Essential Qualifications NVQ Level 3 in a Mechanical Engineering discipline Full UK Driving Licence Demonstrable experience within a commercial building maintenance or facilities management environment Essential Skills and Experience Mechanical Building Services Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance of mechanical building services plant. Servicing, maintenance and fault finding of: Expansion vessels Pressurisation units Commercial pumps and pump sets Booster sets HVAC mechanical plant LTHW systems Pipework and associated distribution systems Experience undertaking mechanical repairs and replacements across commercial facilities.
