This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing people management with practical engineering involvement on the factory floor.You''ll take ownership of the engineering function, leading a team of maintenance engineers while ensuring plant reliability, maximising equipment performance, and driving continuous improvement across the site.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, motivate and develop a team of maintenance engineers.Provide coaching, mentoring and ongoing training to build team capability.Remain hands-on, supporting the engineering team with fault finding, maintenance and breakdowns where required.Provide engineering cover during holidays and sickness, including working shifts when necessary.Ensure all manufacturing equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably to meet production targets.Develop, implement and manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and maintenance records.Analyse equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions to improve reliability.Manage the purchasing of engineering spare parts and consumables while maintaining effective stock control.Coordinate statutory inspections and ensure all engineering compliance requirements are met.Manage relationships with external contractors, engineering ..... full job details .....
