Maintenance Manager

Job will involve
* Manage and deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules for all plant, machinery, and site services.
* Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults in a timely manner.
* Minimise plant and production downtime through rapid fault diagnosis and effective repair strategies.
* Project manage new installations and the modification or upgrade of existing equipment.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records, logs, and technical documentation.
* Monitor plant performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and availability.
* Management & Leadership
* Lead, supervise, and develop a maintenance team of six personnel and manage external contractors.
* Allocate workloads, set priorities, and ensure maintenance activities align with production requirements.
* Support training and ongoing skills development within the maintenance team.
* Take responsibility for maintenance budgets, contractor costs, and spare parts control

Ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience
* Hands-on experience working with guillotines, drills, and band saws in a workshop environment.
* Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication, and sheet metal work.
* Fault diagnosis in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, gearbox, motor, pump, fan, compressor systems, conveyors and extraction systems
* Experience with preventative maintenance systems and maintenance planning.
* Strong mechanical and basic electrical fault-finding capability.
* Good working knowledge of health and safety legislation.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Understanding of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
