Handyman / Maintenance Operative, 15ph + Hol pay Temporary Position Single Site Location Tools ProvidedWe are currently seeking a proactive and multi-skilled Maintenance Operative to join a residential apartment building in Sheffield city centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced handyman or maintenance professional looking to work in a fast-paced environment where delivering an excellent resident experience is key.In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring maintenance and repair requests are completed efficiently and to a high standard, helping to maintain a safe, compliant, and well-presented living environment for residents.Key Responsibilities Respond promptly to maintenance requests through internal reporting systems.Carry out a range of general maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, decorating, and joinery repairs.Assist with both reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes.Conduct routine inspections of bedrooms, communal areas, and building facilities.Identify and rectify maintenance defects while proactively addressing health and safety concerns.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance checks.Provide a professional, friendly, and customer-focused service to residents.Communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and residents to ensure works are completed efficiently.
