Maintenance Fitter

Job Vacancy

As the Maintenance Fitter, you will be based at the Livesey Street manufacturing site in Sheffield, working within the Maintenance Engineering team responsible for all daily maintenance activities. This is a position for a fully skilled, apprentice-trained Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias. The successful candidate will ideally have experience working within a heavy forge environment, with good working knowledge of hydraulics and mobile plant maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks.
• Support the installation of new plant.
• Plan mechanical maintenance tasks for completion during scheduled shutdowns.
• Support the development and upgrading of existing equipment.
• Work safely and effectively in line with company safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Complete any other reasonable duties as required by the department.

Qualifications and Experience

• Apprentice-trained Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical bias.
• Experience working within a heavy forge environment.
• Good working knowledge of hydraulics, ideally Oilgear Tower.
• Mobile plant maintenance skills, including manipulators, FLTs and OHC.
• Experience of breakdown maintenance on presses, hammers, lathes and bores would be ideal.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of the wider Maintenance team.

Salary Information

This is a fantastic Maintenance Fitter position located in Sheffield, paying -21.47 per hour, based on a 37.5-hour working week, equivalent to approximately -41,866.50 per annum. This is your chance to make a real impact in a company that values engineering, maintenance and continuous improvement.
