Maintenance Fitter

Mechanical Fitter Salary: 35,000 per annum + overtime paid at 20 per hour Location: Stourbridge, West Midlands Working hours: Both day shifts and night shifts available About the Role We are looking for an experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our engineering team at a busy manufacturing and foundry operation in Stourbridge. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the reliability, safety and performance of plant, machinery and associated equipment across two manufacturing facilities. Working within a heavy engineering and foundry environment, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and minor improvement works to minimise downtime and optimise production performance. Foundry experience is desirable, although candidates with strong mechanical engineering and maintenance experience from other heavy industrial or manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is reliable, self-motivated, practical and organised, with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and corrective maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment.
