As a Maintenance Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for delivery of the maintenance programme for distribution network substation assets from LV to 33kV in the north of Ridgeway, working on behalf of the Maintenance and Inspection team.Managing a fitting team, you’ll ensure safety, support team development, and drive productivity and quality in daily maintenance and inspection tasks.You’ll be accountable for monthly delivery forecasts to meet annual targets, while also supporting projects focused on asset health.This includes managing several maintenance jobs at any given time and providing key insights to guide asset lifecycle decisions.Lead by example, grow and develop the team’s knowledge whilst ensuring that safety is the number one value. Demonstrate an open, honest and positive communication style and engage at all levels to instil a high performing culture.What you will have
Experience of working on and operating Electrical networks up to 33kV. Having up to 33kV Senior Authorised Person authorisations (or working towards) would be advantageous but not essential.Excellent people leadership skills, with experience in change management and leading high-volume output projects.Proficient IT and data analytical skills to ensure accurate and timely reporting through systems such as Maximo, Electric Office, Excel and Power On.A strong health and safety mindset, with values that align with SSE and our Safety family culture, coupled with experience of integrating and maintaining these within an operational environment.Enthusiasm, drive, a flexible approach to work and an ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.About SSE
