      <description>Location: Pontyclun | Salary: &amp;pound;40000 - &amp;pound;48000/annum | Type: Permanent | Electrical Maintenance Engineer   Pontypridd Approx. -40,000 during training period, rising to circa -48,000 upon transition to shift pattern Monday to Friday Days (Year 1), progressing to Days &amp; Nights rotation   The Opportunity   Yolk Recruitment are supporting a high-performing manufacturer in South Wales who are investing heavily in their site, machinery, and engineering function. This is a hands-on role where you''ll be trusted to own breakdown response, drive reliability improvements, and keep production moving - the sort of environment that suits an engineer who enjoys fault finding, variety, and being close to the kit.  This position offers a structured development pathway. You''ll initially work a Monday to Friday days-based pattern, allowing you to fully embed yourself within the site, machinery, processes and engineering team. During this period, the salary is approximately -40,000. Following successful completion of your training and onboarding period (typically around 12 months), you''ll transition onto the site''s rotating days and nights shift pattern, increasing earnings to circa -48,000.
