Mechanical EngineerSalary: £43,000 per annumOvertime: Available and paid at time and a halfContract: Full-time, permanentShift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off / 4 on and 4 nightsLocation: Central London The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established estates and engineering team supporting a complex, safety-critical environment for a prestigious Private Hospital in London. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability and statutory compliance of critical mechanical infrastructure across a multi-building estate.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on mechanical plant and systemsDiagnose and rectify faults through reactive maintenanceMaintain compliance with relevant statutory regulations and standardsOperate and monitor Building Management Systems (BMS)Respond to mechanical breakdowns and emergency situations, acting as a first responder when required (training provided)Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentationWork collaboratively with engineering, fabric and estates colleagues to support uninterrupted service deliveryRequirementsMinimum 3 years'' post-qualification experience in mechanical building services or facilities maintenanceQualifications at HNC/HND / Level 4 or 5 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentStrong working knowledge of: HVAC systemsPlumbing and water systemsRefrigerationUnderstanding of safe systems of work and health and safety legislationGood communication ..... full job details .....
