Maintenance Engineer Permanent Days and Afters 42,000 - 43,000 The Role We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a busy engineering team, carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs to ensure machinery and equipment remain fully operational. This is a hands-on role requiring strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, with a focus on minimising downtime and driving continuous improvements across the site. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance. Service, repair and maintain CNC lathes, milling machines and associated equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults. Minimise machine downtime and maximise production efficiency. Support continuous improvement and shop floor improvement projects. Assist with general facilities maintenance when required. Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with Health and Safety procedures. Skills and Experience Proven maintenance experience within a CNC manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability. Experience working with: Pneumatics and hydraulics. Gearboxes, pumps and motors. Three-phase electrical systems. Control panels, fault finding and repairs. Compressors and associated equipment. Welding and fabrication skills.
