With a strong focus on operational excellence, reliability and continuous improvement, the business is evolving its maintenance strategy to become more proactive, data-driven and engineering-led.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a forward-thinking organisation and play a key role in improving equipment performance, reliability and long-term production capability.

The Opportunity

Due to continued investment and growth, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Electrically Biased-Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.

This newly created position has been designed to support the transition from reactive maintenance towards a more proactive reliability-focused approach. You will play a key role in maximising equipment availability, reducing downtime and driving continuous improvement across a highly automated manufacturing facility.

Working closely with production, engineering and operational teams, you will be responsible for identifying recurring issues, implementing long-term solutions and improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

This is a hands-on engineering role with the opportunity to make a tangible impact on site performance and influence future maintenance strategy.

Key Responsibilities

About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias, ideally gained within a high-volume manufacturing or automated production environment.

You will have:

  • Electrically biased multi-skilled engineering experience
  • Strong experience working with automated machinery, robotics and PLC-controlled systems
  • Proven fault-finding ability across electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • A strong understanding of preventative maintenance and reliability improvement techniques
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and structured problem-solving
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Experience using CMMS systems and maintenance data to drive improvements
  • A proactive approach with a genuine interest in improving processes and equipment performance
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering and production teams

Ideally, you will hold an HNC/HND qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or have equivalent practical experience.
