Maintenance EngineerPertemps are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer on a 3-month fixed-term contract.Pay Rate: £20 per hourWe are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious engineer with mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience to support the operation and maintenance of renewable energy equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant running of plant operations, helping to convert organic food waste into clean energy.Key Responsibilities:Carry out planned preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical and PLC systemsRespond to equipment breakdowns and complete reactive repairs to minimise downtimeMaintain and support specialist equipment, including CHP units, Grid Entry Units and biogas compressorsEnsure all work is completed in accordance with health, safety and environmental proceduresMonitor operational performance, recording data relating to gas quality, temperature control and feedstock managementParticipate in on-call rota duties and remote monitoring activities when requiredSupport continuous improvement initiatives across the siteAbout You:Qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or able to demonstrate equivalent engineering experienceProven maintenance engineering experience within an industrial, process, manufacturing or similar environmentKnowledge of planned preventative maintenance systemsStrong understanding of health, safety and environmental practicesAbility to work independently and as part of a ..... full job details .....
