About the Role

Pertemps Redditch Industrial seeks a Maintenance Engineer for a leading manufacturer and distributor of raw materials, ingredients and products serving pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics sectors. Based in Redditch, this full-time post offers £35,000 to £40,000 annually. Hours run Monday to Friday, 9am until 5pm, with occasional weekend call-out paid at a premium rate. Duties cover preventative maintenance, servicing and repair of machinery breakdowns, organising schedules and associated administrative work. They are seeking a Maintenance Engineer for their operations in the Redditch area to compliment the maintenance department within the organisation.
Salary: £35k to £40k
Work Pattern – Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday – some occasional call out duty at weekend – paid at premium rate.

Key Responsibilities

Preventative maintenance, servicing and repair of any machinery that breakdown.
Organise maintenance schedules.
Carry out administrative tasks such as developing instruction manuals, providing reports on work carried out.
Ensure equipment records are kept up to date.
Stock check and ordering of consumables required within the maintenance team.
Liaise with production and manufacturing teams to effective manage maintenance schedules causing as little disruption to production as possible.

Qualifications & Skills

Maintenance experience with light manufacturing machinery – ideally food or pharmaceutical equipment.
Mechanical and Electrical experience.
PLC fault finding experience.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
Troubleshooting experience in resolve pressing in process issues with equipment.
Ability to follow instructions and a high attention to detail.
Able to work on an occasional on call rota at weekends (paid a premium rate).
Good team player.
