About the Role
A manufacturer supplying raw materials to the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics sectors seeks a Maintenance Engineer at its Redditch site. This full-time post, paying £35,000 to £40,000 annually, follows a Monday to Friday pattern of 9am until 5pm, with occasional weekend call-out covered at a premium rate. Duties cover preventative servicing, repairing breakdowns, planning schedules and associated administration. Applicants should bring practical fault-finding ability and a methodical approach to machinery upkeep. They are seeking a Maintenance Engineer for their operations in the Redditch area to compliment the maintenance department within the organisation.
Salary: £35k to £40k
Work Pattern – Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday – some occasional call out duty at weekend – paid at premium rate.

Key Responsibilities
- Preventative maintenance, servicing and repair of any machinery that breakdown.
- Organise maintenance schedules.
- Carry out administrative tasks such as developing instruction manuals, providing reports on work carried out.
- Ensure equipment records are kept up to date.
- Stock check and ordering of consumables required within the maintenance team.
- Liaise with production and manufacturing teams to effective manage maintenance schedules causing as little disruption to production as possible.
- Maintenance experience with light manufacturing machinery – ideally food or pharmaceutical equipment.
- Mechanical and Electrical experience.
- PLC fault finding experience.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
- Troubleshooting experience in resolve pressing in process issues with equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and a high attention to detail.
- Able to work on an occasional on call rota at weekends (paid a premium rate).
