This is a continuously open engineering requirement within a busy food manufacturing environment, where there is ongoing demand for both multi-skilled and electrically biased engineers.

What you''ll be doing

• Responding to breakdowns and restoring equipment safely and efficiently
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
• Supporting continuous production and minimising downtime
• Working as part of a shift engineering team on a 5 on / 5 off pattern
• Recording maintenance activity accurately using site systems
• Supporting reliability and continuous improvement activity
• Maintaining strong health and safety compliance across all work

What we''re looking for

• Multi-skilled or electrically biased engineering background
• Experience in food manufacturing or fast-paced production environments
• Strong fault-finding ability across electrical and mechanical systems
• Good understanding of industrial maintenance equipment and processes
• Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance work
• Comfortable working a 5 on / 5 off shift pattern including nights
• Strong awareness of health and safety standards
• Able to work effectively within a shift team environment
• Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving

The reality of the role

This is a busy, high-demand production environment where engineering coverage is critical.
Engineers are expected to respond quickly to issues, stabilise equipment and maintain production continuity. It suits individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-moving shift-based environment where priorities can change quickly.

If you prefer slow-paced or predictable maintenance work, this is unlikely to be a fit. If you want a role where your skills are genuinely needed and used every shift, it is.
