Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)

We are looking for a motivated,-Maintenance Engineer (mechanical bias), ideally with some electrical knowledge, to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production machinery and facilities. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and supporting continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out routine and reactive maintenance across machinery and facilities

Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Contribute to process improvement and machinery efficiency initiatives

Maintain excellent housekeeping and workshop standards

Support shift handovers and provide guidance to operational staff

Skills & Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Multi-skilled maintenance experience, ideally with electrical knowledge

Experience in a manufacturing, printing, or production environment preferred

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of safe systems of work (permits, risk assessments, method statements)

Excellent communication skills, flexible and proactive approach

Microsoft Office competency

Driving license desirable; FLT & IPAF certification advantageous
