MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Manchester Salary: Up to £43,000 Shift: Monday - Friday - Double Days Job Role of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established process manufacturing business in Manchester. Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining a mixture of modern and legacy plant equipment through planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on mechanical role where you will work across a varied range of process equipment, helping to improve plant reliability, resolve recurring faults and support ongoing investment across the site. The business places a strong emphasis on safety, engineering standards and development, offering excellent opportunities to expand your technical skillset. Sector - Process Manufacturing Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Mechanically biased maintenance background. Level 3 Engineering qualification / apprenticeship (or equivalent). Previous manufacturing maintenance experience. Strong mechanical fault-finding ability. Requirements of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM). Reactive breakdown maintenance. Mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting. Pumps, valves and gearboxes.
