An excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join a well-established, global manufacturing business at its busy production facility in the Birmingham area.

The Role

Working as part of a skilled engineering team on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, you will be responsible for ensuring production equipment is maintained to the highest standard, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical faults efficiently.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and performance.

• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.

• Accurately complete maintenance documentation and reports.

• Work closely with production teams to maximise plant availability.

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates with experience in a manufacturing, heavy industrial or process environment.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

• Apprenticeship or recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification.

• Experience maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.

• Strong fault-finding and repair skills.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

• Apprenticeship or recognised Electrical Engineering qualification.

• Experience with fault finding on electrical systems, motors, drives, control panels and PLCs.

• Ability to read electrical drawings and carry out electrical maintenance safely.
