Maintenance Engineer

Location; Uttoxeter We are working with a well-established food manufacturing business operating within a high-volume FMCG production environment, supplying products into major retail and foodservice markets. The site runs a genuinely varied range of production and packaging machinery, from PLC-controlled robotic lines through to a fleet of characterful, century-old ovens still in daily use giving engineers real breadth across old and new technology, not just the same few assets on repeat. This is a great opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a proactive engineering team on a site where maintenance is genuinely valued and properly resourced. Engineers work from a fully equipped stores and workshop mills, lathes and a comprehensive stock of engineering spares so faults get fixed properly rather than bodged to keep the line running, and reliability work actually gets the time it needs. The role has arisen due to an internal promotion, reflecting the real progression opportunities within the engineering function. It would suit a Maintenance Engineer who enjoys hands-on variety robotics, PLCs, mechanical fault-finding on legacy equipment and wants to build strong working relationships with production teams.
