Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our established maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in machine maintenance, fault finding, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and continuous improvement to develop their career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a key member of the engineering team, you will play a vital role in ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of plant machinery and equipment, responding to breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvements to maximise equipment uptime and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with the maintenance schedule. Respond promptly to machine breakdowns, diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs to minimise downtime. Perform mechanical and basic electrical maintenance on production plant and machinery. Fault find and repair mechanical systems including gearboxes, bearings, drives and associated equipment. Diagnose and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Work collaboratively with on-site contractors and remote service engineers during maintenance activities and equipment installations. Accurately record maintenance activities, breakdown reports and completed work using the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
