They are part of a global group with multiple sites in the UK and are looking for a multi-skilled shift engineer to join the team, they would also be happy with an Engineer that is more Mechanically bias.Role and Responsibilities:Carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance of all high-speed production and packaging machineryElectrical and mechanical fault finding, problem solving and repairsPLC - electrical fault findingContinuous improvement projectsDealing with motors, servo drives, contactors, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, invertersManagement of stores, ordering of spares and parts when neededUpkeep and alteration of electrical and mechanical drawingsKnowledge, Skills and Experience:NVQ Level 3 engineering or maintenance minimumMust have completed a time-served-apprenticeship, with 5+ years experience outside of itStrong electrical and mechanical problem solving skillsIdeally have worked in food manufacturing industryKnowledge of PLC''s, automation and control systems, HMi''s beneficialControl panels - electrical fault findingAble to read and follow electrical schematic drawingsKnowledge of food safety / hygiene ..... full job details .....
