Maintenance Engineer

I am recruiting on behalf of my client for a Maintenance Equipment Engineer to join their modern manufacturing facility in Basingstoke. My client is a major UK-owned contract electronics manufacturer, providing electronics manufacturing and supply-chain services to technology businesses across the UK and Europe, supporting sectors including commercial, space, defence, transport, audio, motorsport and instrumentation. This is a hands-on engineering opportunity within a world-class facility, where the Maintenance Equipment Engineer will be responsible for supporting equipment maintenance, breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance schedules. A key focus will be maximising equipment uptime, availability and OEE while ensuring maintenance activities are effectively planned and controlled. As the Maintenance Equipment Engineer, you will also work closely with specialist contractors and third-party providers, supervising maintenance and repair activities where external expertise is required. Key responsibilities will include:Carrying out hands-on repairs and maintenance across key site services and production equipment.Fault finding on Reflow Ovens, SMT Pick and Place machines, Conformal Coating systems, AOI and inspection equipment.Diagnosing faults across electrical, electronic, pneumatic and control systems.Developing and implementing planned maintenance schedules using a tracking/CMMS system.Managing contractors, including permit-to-work issue and engagement.Building ..... full job details .....
