Maintenance Engineer

Our client is looking for a capable and proactive Shift Engineer to support the smooth operation of a high-performing production facility. This role offers the chance to play a key part in driving continuous improvement while helping to establish a strong preventative maintenance culture.Shift EngineerSalary: Up to 44,000Location: SuffolkShift Pattern: Rotating days and nights (season-dependent)Responsibilities:Perform reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance across the siteRespond quickly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, and implement effective solutionsReduce engineering downtime to ensure production targets are consistently metCarry out all maintenance tasks safely, efficiently, and to a high standardIdentify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives to optimise plant performanceFollow and contribute to health, safety, environmental, and food safety standardsUndertake fabrication work, including building, repairing, and installing machinery componentsOperate tractors and trailers for waste movement when requiredRequirements:At least 2 years'' experience in a similar role, ideally within FMCG or a heavy industrial environmentPractical experience is valued over formal qualificationsHands-on experience with heavy plant equipment, such as conveyorsStrong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindsetSolid understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices in an industrial settingIf this opportunity is of interest, please ..... full job details .....
