Maintenance engineer

Your new company We have a great new opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer to work on a double-day-based shift pattern Monday to Friday. We are looking for an experienced engineer to join the team at a busy port operation in Ipswich.Your new role Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you will carry out the day-to-day electrical maintenance and repair of port plant and equipment. The role is responsible for completing allocated tasks safely, efficiently and to the required standard, while minimising costs and will provide the Engineering Supervisor with regular updates on assigned tasks and support the planning of maintenance activities. This will help the department operate effectively while ensuring port operations are maintained safely and cost-effectively in accordance with company policies and procedures.You will carry out planned maintenance on plant and equipment. Ensuring that all work keeps the integrity of the compliance of that machine effectively and efficiently to deliver and meet the requirements of all the departments. To carry out the job role in accordance with the company Safety Organisation and Arrangements policy.Carry out maintenance works in a diligent and timely manner in order to meet the requirements for operations, both individually and as part of a larger team (including third party contractors as required).
