Maintenance Engineer
Your new company
We have a great new opportunity for an established manufacturing plant in the Kings Lynn area. You will be working on 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday, rotating early, late and night shifts weekly.
Your new role
You will proactively carry out all aspects of plant maintenance to a planned schedule, seeking solutions where abnormalities occur to prevent a negative impact on production and quality standards. You will liaise with the production teams to address breakdowns or interruptions to production, dealing promptly with any issues and escalate where necessary in order to minimise downtime, ensuring all relevant maintenance records are accurately recorded to ensure legal compliance and to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain adequate engineering resource of materials and equipment, effectively liaising with suppliers to meet the needs of the department.
- Review all works to ensure that budgeted costs and timescales are met, escalating any discrepancies.
- Liaise with the Hygiene team to ensure the environment is safe and clean.
- Drive continuous improvement, reviewing current methodology and opportunities to improve the plant''s efficiency, safety, quality and performance.
- Undertake any reasonable task related to the operation of the plant as required.
What you''ll need to succeed
We are seeking a qualified engineer with NVQ/C&G level 3 in mechanical and electrical engineering, as a minimum 18th edition. Experience gained in a manufacturing/production environment, good experience and understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations.
Good knowledge of CMMS systems, good IT skills, experience with microsoft programmes.
