The Role

As an Mechanical Biased Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving plant equipment within a FMCG processing environment.

Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights), you will ensure maximum plant uptime through reactive and planned maintenance activities.

Performance Objectives

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Diagnose and repair mechnanical faults on production and process equipment
• Working on process and packaging equipmemt
• Fault finding on Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Mechanical Drive Systems
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and site regulations
• Minimise downtime and improve reliability across the plant
• Extensive use of CMMS for work recordinG
• Accurate shift reporting and handover.

Person Specification

• Time-served Mechanical Engineer (Apprenticeship or equivalent)
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Experience within FMCG , process, manufacturing or similar environment
• Strong mechanical fault-finding ability on industrial systems
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
