Maintenance Engineer

Gap Personnel are currently recruiting for a Nights Maintenance Engineer to join our client s engineering team on a permanent night shift. This is a key role supporting production by keeping machinery running safely and efficiently.Location: Telford Shift: 4 on / 4 off nights (7:00pm 7:00am) Salary: £45,000 per annumDuties and Responsibilities as a Nights Maintenance Engineer: Responding quickly to machine breakdowns and carrying out repairsDiagnosing faults across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsCompleting planned preventative maintenance (PPM)Working closely with production teams to minimise downtimeEnsuring all machinery is safe and compliant with regulationsRecording maintenance work and updating logsSupporting continuous improvement and reducing wasteAssisting with installation and commissioning of new equipment Experience and qualifications required as a Nights Maintenance Engineer: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).18th Edition Electrical Installations qualification.Proven experience in a Maintenance Engineer role within a manufacturing environment.Advanced mechanical, electrical, and systems knowledge.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities.Understanding of safety systems, PUWER, and equipment compliance requirements.Effective communication and training skills for both engineers and operators.
