Overview

Maintenance Engineer (Facilities) – Reading. Salary: £40,000 PA. Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Permanent position.We’re seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our client in Reading. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives on variety, problem-solving, and keeping facilities running smoothly.Responsibilities

Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across multiple sitesDiagnose and repair faults in electrical, plumbing and mechanical systemsConduct routine inspections and safety checksSupport facility upgrades, refurbishments, and installationsMaintain accurate records of work completed and materials usedEnsure compliance with health and safety regulationsLiaise with contractors and suppliers when neededRespond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and managementQualifications

Proven experience in a residential or commercial settingQualifications including:IPAF and PASMACity and Guilds 2382 - 18th Edition Wiring RegulationsCity and Guilds 236 / 2360 / 2365 / 2000 / 2330 / 2397 or equivalent EAL electrical qualificationCity and Guilds 2391 or City and Guilds 2394 / 2395 or EAL equivalentCity and Guilds 2377 - Portable Appliance TestingClear DBS CheckStrong knowledge of statutory testingAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasksFull UK driving licence (to travel between sites)What’s On Offer
