POSITION PURPOSE

The Maintenance Engineer

- Electrical

reports to the Assistant Managers for the primary delivery of 1st fix electrical maintenance as requested through the Helpdesk, In House Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules, and the undertaking of designated Health and Safety duties across the full resort. In addition, the incumbent is expected to have knowledge and where necessary assist in all other general

tasks, as directed by the Management team.Reacts to requests from the Management team and other operating departments to assess and repair where possible faults with all aspects of the buildings including HVAC, lighting and small power issues, plumbing problemsInstallation of additional electrical circuitsMaintenance of Standby Generator and Life safety systemsUndertakes and records regular Planned Preventative Maintenance/ Ken Fix It ProgrammeHealth and Safety schedules to include monthly emergency lighting testing, tap/shower head descaling, emergency/lighting checksTemperature checks of water systems as specified in the site Water Risk AssessmentsFire alarm testing, fire equipment checks, meter readings, running generator, etcCarries out Health and Safety testing to include the Control of Legionella, Portable Appliance Testing, Emergency Lighting testing etc.Takes ownership of designated role as part of the emergency evacuation teamCommunicates with the Management team to ensure accurate record keeping is maintained for reporting purposesAny other general tasks commensurate to the role and to contribute to the workflow of the departmentQUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Must be eligible to work within the UK - essentialMust be time served Electrician, preferable completed 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations - essentialAble to carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) - preferredSome understanding and awareness of Heating ,Ventilation and Air Conditioning systemsGood all round knowledge of electrical distribution systems - essentialBuilding Management Systems experienceKnowledge of System drawings Operating and Maintenance manuals and other relevant documentation and proceduresRequires understanding and using various hand tools, electrical tools, and test and inspection equipment - essentialPrevious Fire Warden trained preferredMust have a good Level and understanding of UK Health and Safety legislation and practicesGood oral and written communication skills in EnglishMust have previous experience of working in a maintenance environment, preferably hotelsMust be able to work a flexible working pattern over 7 daysMust be self-motivated with the ability to work alone or as part of the teamMust be able to demonstrate good time management skillsMust have competency in the use of IT systems - essentialDriving license essentialMust have awareness of Energy Management and the requirement to run systems efficiently and cost effectivelyBENEFITSSubsidised staff accommodation (if required).Access to a meal on duty in the staff canteen.Turnberry Friends and Family Rooms Programme - discounted room rates at Trump Turnberry, available to you and your family
