We are currently working on a great new opportunity for a Days only Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in South Nottingham.This is a new position, and as the Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of site machinery, equipment, and facilities to support Production, Warehouse, and Quality operations. The role involves a mix of hands-on repairs and coordination with external contractors, depending on service agreements in place.Hours: Monday to Friday, 08 30, early finish on a Friday (some flex on start / finish times)Key Responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer: Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs across the siteManage contractor work where applicable, depending on equipment service contractsComplete both routine tasks (e.g. replacing light bulbs) and more complex electrical/mechanical repairsPerform preventative maintenance (PPM) and ensure plant equipment runs efficiently Candidate Requirements for Maintenance Engineer: Minimum 5 years experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing settingStrong mechanical and electrical skill set; experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, CNC machines, and control circuits is highly desirableComfortable with a broad range of tasks, from basic facility upkeep to more technical troubleshootingAbility to read mechanical/electrical schematicsVocational training or relevant certifications are ideal Package: Salary: Approx. £40k + 5% ..... full job details .....
