Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established FMCG manufacturer at a modern production facility in the Harrogate area.

This is a days & nights based role working a Panama-pattern, offering the chance to join a business that continues to invest in its people, equipment and manufacturing operations.

The Role

Working as part of a highly skilled engineering team, you''ll be responsible for maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns and delivering planned preventative maintenance to ensure maximum plant reliability and efficiency.

You''ll also play an active role in continuous improvement projects, helping to drive equipment performance and minimise downtime across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical faults.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Complete maintenance documentation using the site''s CMMS.
• Work collaboratively with production to minimise downtime.
• Assist with equipment installations and improvement projects.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role, you''ll have:

• A recognised engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Previous experience within an FMCG, food, beverage or manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
• A proactive approach with a focus on safety, reliability and continuous improvement.
